Today's prompt is "What band/artist means the most to you?". Now this one is kind of difficult because I have many favourite bands who are my favourites for different reasons. Let's just name a few, and maybe later I'll make a separate post on each band and analyze why I like them.

Twenty One Pilots - Twenty One Pilots is one of my favourites because of both their unique sound and their deep lyrical meanings. I think the best part about their music is that their lyrics are interpreted differently from person to person, and the fact that they are able to make a song with so many meanings in one is truly amazing. I take a lot of the lyrics to heart and usually connect them to things involving my own personal experience with mental illness, and sometimes this band is just what I need to feel better. Songs that explain how I feel, and a band that was able to put into words what I had trouble to.

Boston, Kansas, Paul Simon, and others - These bands I appreciate for their nostalgic feeling. Not only are they older rock, but these were the artists my dad would always play on his mix CDs in the car, so it's what I grew up listening to. Special thank you to Dad for help with morphing my music taste into what it is.

My Chemical Romance - I appreciate MCR for the same reason I appreciate Twenty One Pilots. Their lyrical meaning, their sound that makes you want to riot and stand up for yourself. MCR's music gives me a "Punch your fists in the air and sing for what you stand for" kind of feel, and I love that.

There are many other bands I could name here such as Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy, Bring Me The Horizon, and many others but I'm going to cut it here. Thanks for reading, write ya soon!
