High On Anxiety (2014 Poem)

Alone Finally

Escape from reality

My biggest rivalry

Is against our society

Hope deteriorating entirely

As I scream and cry silently

Deprived from privacy

From authority Almighty

The work of psychiatry

Forces me to question my sanity

In a prescribed diary

No substance, oh the irony

The only thing I'm high on is

Anxiety.
